Lyrics
Watching you with tunnel vision
Found myself and now I’m wishin’
Baby, can you take the time?
It started with a little kissin’
Now I know what I been missin’
Damnit, girl you’re so damn fine
I think about you all day long
If lovin’ you is something wrong
Then baby I don’t wanna be right
I need you here right by my side
I’ll hold you close
I’ll kiss you right
Make love until the mornin’ light
You’re my favorite kinda high
Those hips, those lips, those eyes
You’ve got me so damn mesmorized
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Ain’t no comedowns, no goodbyes
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Your touch is lightning in my veins
One hit, I’m lost inside the flames
Girl, you got me gone again
You’re gravity, it pulls me in
I fall in love over again
Baby, you’re my only sin
You’re my favorite kinda high
Those hips, those lips, those eyes
You’ve got me so damn mesmorized
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Ain’t no comedowns, no goodbyes
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
You’re my favorite kinda high
Those hips, those lips, those eyes
You’ve got me so damn mesmorized
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
You’re my favorite kinda high
Those hips, those lips, those eyes
You’ve got me so damn mesmorized
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Ain’t no comedowns, no goodbyes
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Yea
Cuz you’re my favorite kinda high
Yea
Story Behind The Song
I just want to say that I am a firm believer in a song taking on meaning for each person that listens to it. And I hope that happens for you. I just want to let you know what I was thinking when I wrote it. But please don’t let that ruin what the song means for you…
This is kind of when I realized I could do something with this music thing.
I had these lyrics I remembered from years ago…but only the first couple of lines.
So I wanted to see if I could still do it. So I started writing to see if I could finish something I started years ago.
I wrote it because I was being told that everything I was writing was too slow. and too “countryish”. I needed something with more “spizzazz” (I believe was the technical term used).
So this is something I remembered Nature telling me back in the Kinder days when we would write songs.
“We need something that really cooks!”
So the same critique must’ve triggered the song from back then to be jogged back into my memory.
So I wrote the rest of the lyrics kind of as an homage to the person that was telling me it needed more “spizzazz”.
But also as like an…”ok…you think I can’t do this” type of thing.
I hope you like it!
