Story Behind The Song
I just want to say that I am a firm believer in a song taking on meaning for each person that listens to it. And I hope that happens for you. I just want to let you know what I was thinking when I wrote it. But please don’t let that ruin what the song means for you…
This is another story that is a little crazy…but here we go
So the book is done at this point. I’m just going through final edits.
I decide to listen to a podcast while mowing the lawn. It’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode with Jillian Michaels.
This is Episode #2313 at about the 50 minute mark.
Joe says “I don’t necessarily believe in demons and angels i don’t believe that but if you were the devil like wouldn’t money be your most valuable tool to get people to do absolutely atrocious evil things that are going to ruin their lives? Money is like the devil’s playground it’s like where the devil can convince good people to do things…”
For some reason…this stuck with me.
For days…
I don’t know why. It was just something that I heard someone say.
And it gnawed at me.
Until I started to write.
